For 60 years, CSI Accounting & Payroll has provided financial services to small businesses across the continental United States.
While we offer our services remotely, we have added locations to expand our team. We began in St Louis Park, Minnesota (a Minneapolis suburb) in 1966, then acquired a second office in Columbia, Maryland (a Baltimore and Washington, DC suburb) in 2023.
Now, we’re excited to announce our third office in Aurora, Illinois (a Chicagoland suburb). We have officially acquired Taxxsolutions as of September 1, 2026.

Why are we making this change?
Darlene Belter, the owner of Taxxsolutions, is a longtime friend of Brian Paulson, the owner of CSI Accounting & Payroll. They met at the Professional Association of Business Accountants (PASBA), where they are both members and award winners.
When Darlene saw Brian’s success in acquiring CSI’s second location, she knew she wanted to sell Taxxsolutions to him. The two met for dinner while Brian was in Chicago for a conference, and they came to an agreement. Brian couldn’t say no to a great opportunity!
With the change, Taxxsolutions’ clients may wonder whether their dedicated experts will stay.
The plan is to keep everyone on board. Brian Paulson has already spent time in Aurora, Illinois, to get to know the team personally. They are now part of CSI Accounting & Payroll’s team.
Darlene will also temporarily remain on board to help with the transition of ownership before her retirement. We plan to grow the team to accommodate this change, since we want this to be as seamless as possible.
Current Taxxsolutions clients may also wonder whether their services will change.
Monthly accounting and payroll should remain practically the same. Since Taxxsolutions and CSI Accounting & Payroll are both members of PASBA, we follow the same business model.
As we navigate this transition, we plan to honor existing service agreements but reserve the right to make changes as needed. Any notable changes will be communicated to clients. We may also make changes to secondary services, as the firms have different referral partners.

Current Taxxsolutions clients may also worry about price changes. Again, we plan to honor existing service agreements, including their pricing.
Regardless, CSI Accounting & Payroll and Taxxsolutions use similar pricing methods. Any increases in pricing over time would be due to inflation or our time spent working with you.
